Today we finally received the 1964 Bonneville that Garry Chitwood restored for us. This is the third Chitwood bike in our collection although it is the first that we have commissioned directly with Garry. (The other two Chitwood bikes are the 1964 T120C and the 1967 T120TT.)
Garry Chitwood is one of the foremost Triumph restorers in the world. He has a tremendous supply of NOS parts on hand and is takes great care that everything is done exactly as it was configured originally by Triumph. Garry is most famous for the restorations he has done for Bobby Sullivan. Many of these have appeared over the years in the Tim Remus Triumph calendars and books.
Garry, based in Alabama, told us that he has restored about 110 Triumphs over the years and that Bobby Sullivan and he still own about 70 of them. We feel very fortunate to have 3 of the remaining 40 in our collection. Here are a few pictures we took today ... a lot more are in the photo album.
