After almost two years in process, Terry Clark has completed the restoration of his 1938 Speed Twin.
Here is how this beautiful motorcycle turned out ....
Terry sent us the following message ...
"Thanks to all who have contributed comments and a few parts for this restoration it’s much appreciated and hope I can do the same someday.
As you remember I got the bike from eBay and as it was close to me I had the opportunity to go see it and finally bring it home. The restoration was not cheep and the search for parts was sometimes difficult but with lots of help and suggestions I finally got it done.
Have spent lots of time the last few weeks on the niggle bits that you think you can do in 5 minutes but take a week. Some of the after market parts need some attention still, like the knee pad rubber fitment, but all in all I am very pleased with the results. It still remains to be started and I have to decide what I’m going to do with it, my wife wants it in the foyer so no oil yet.
